Heather Antos has joined Valiant Entertainment as editor – and will be developing a “stable of her own titles,” according to The Beat. This comes ten months after the editor left Marvel for a position in Esports journalism.
“There is no better time than right now to join Valiant,” Antos said. “The creative teams, characters, and stories have never looked stronger and I’m excited to collaborate with editorial on even greater stories as we build toward the release of Bloodshot in theaters February 2020. From X-O Manowar to Livewire, Quantum & Woody to Faith, there is a Valiant character for everyone, and I’m excited to bring these characters to new readers.”
Antos worked as an assistant editor at Marvel from 2015 to March 2018, leaving the company for a position as Editor-In-Chief of the Esports company Unikrn. While in that role, she was a freelance editor on Image Comics’ Redlands, Bitter Root, and Injection titles.
“I can’t talk about too much just yet, but what I can say is I’m very excited about the freedom Valiant is giving me to work with some of the best creators in the business on some very exciting dream projects,” Antos added.
The current Valiant editorial team is comprised of Senior Editorial Director Robert Meyers, Senior Editor Karl Bollers, Editors Lysa Hawkins and Heather Antos, associate editor David Menchel, and assistant editor Drew Baumgartner.
