Greg Hunter has been promoted to be Editorial Director of Lerner Publishing Group’s Graphic Universe imprint.

“Graphic Universe is all about breadth: graphic novels for developing readers, middle-grade readers, and young adults, by stateside cartoonists and overseas artists too. My role in the imprint is to be a really careful steward of people’s work, to make sure Graphic Universe is inclusive in its offerings, and to be willing to take chances on projects I believe in,” Hunter told Newsarama. “In 2019 and the years beyond that, we’ve got a lot of exciting books on the way. They’re going to surprise you.”

Hunter joined Lerner in 2009, working his way up from intern to Assistant Editor, Associate Editor, Editor, Senior Editor, Associate Editorial Director, and now Editorial Director. He previously worked as a freelance writer with work published in Fantagraphics’ The Comics Journal.
